Xerox WorkCentre PE220If you are running a small office and need a multi-function printer, maybe you would want to consider Xerox WorkCentre PE220 which offers the capability to print, copy, fax, and scan.

This small-sized multi-function-printer prints at 20 ppm (black and white) while the scanning and faxing is in colour.  You can purchase the Xerox WorkCentre PE220 for RM999-00 (at the time of writing).


What would determine whether you need a multi-function-printer Or a photocopier :-

  1. Your printing volume - is it high (> 3000 - 5000 pages per month) or low (< 2000 pages per month).  The costs of renting a photocopier would be cheaper compared to a multi-function-printer (calculated per copy) so, if you have very high volume of printing it would be wise to choose a photocopier instead of a multi-function-printer;
  2. Whether you require A3 size printing, or A4 size will serve you well.  If you need to print or scan A3 size documents, then a photocopier would suit you more.  Otherwise, you may consider a multi-function-printer.
  3. You may also want to consider the space requirement of a photocopier compared to a multi-function-printer.

Xerox DocuPrint 2065 - the New A3 size laser printer

Xerox DP2065Fuji Xerox has launched a new black and white A3 sized laser printer Xerox DocuPrint 2065 to replace Xerox DocuPrint 205.  Prints at 26 ppm (A4) and 15ppm (A3), and is network ready.

Priced at RM2,699-00 it is the most economical compared to HP or Canon.  Only a few units are available until mid-August as evidenced in the official website by Fuji Xerox Malaysia.  The printer however, has been added to the Singapore and Australia website.
